Welcome to PM. Kindergarten in Room 1!
WELCOME to KINDERGARTEN! I apologize for not updating this page sooner and plan to try and keep you updated here throughout the year.
We are off to a great start! The students have settled into our routine and are doing great. We are working on letter and sound identification using our Houghton Mifflin curriculum as well as Zoophonics. We are also working on strengthening handwriting skills and writing our names. Math will include numbers 1 - 10 for the first trimester as well as shapes and sorting.
We have Music and Library time on Tuesdays and will continue to have sharing on Fridays.
Thanks to all of you for donating supplies. We have plenty of everything!
Upcoming Events
September 6th - Labor day - No school....have a nice long weekend.
We will start working on Sight Words with the first homework packet in September.

Fry's - Kindergarten - 1 thru 50 Sight Words |
| Each column represents a list of 10 sight words. Students learn to read each list (in order) and then to spell the words on the lists. There are 1000 Fry's sight words total. Students should learn to read a at least 50 words by the end of kindergarten to be on task. Download all the Fry's Sight Words and practice with your child at home. |
