Hello! Welcome to 5th grade in room 34.

What's New:

SOCIAL STUDIES: The information packets have been handed out and students have selected their states. The project is due Monday, September 14, 2009.  We are also beginning our study of the First Americans (Native Americans).

SCIENCE:  Our first unit of study is Weather.

MATH:  We had our second Math test last Friday.  We are starting Topic 3 which is multi-digit multiplication; estimating the product of multi-digit multiplication; understanding exponents.

SPANISH:  We are learning the days of the week.  We will also be learning a dialogue in which the students will be speaking Spanish from a script with a partner.

*Note:  There will be no Spelling the week of September 8th.
