Welcome
to 5th Grade
Room 33
Mrs. Araneda
I am delighted
to welcome you and your child (children) to my 5th grade classroom.
This age group is my passion and I enjoy the trial I am lucky to undertake each
year with them. It is their last year in Elementary School, a serious
preparation for the transition into Middle School. Through a year filled with
challenges, excitement, new content learning, and fun, they will be ready for
the next step in their education. I promise, I will help you and your child
along the way. 5th grade is a huge step from 4th with so
many more academic standards to master as well as higher expectations of the
students responsibilities. Some days this can seem very difficult to
accomplish, but just keep hanging in there and remember to enjoy the trial as I
have continued to do.
I received both
my Bachelors and Masters of Arts Degrees at the
University
of
California
,
Irvine
, in the field of fine Arts. My second year of graduate school I was awarded the
Distinguished Student Scholar Award for my creative works. I also hold a
certification in Early Childhood Development and Education and worked in that
field for ten years in both
Riverside
and
Orange
Counties
prior to becoming an elementary school teacher. My California Multiple Subjects
Teaching Credential was obtained through
Chapman
University
. I also hold specialized certification in Cross Cultural Language and Academic
Development (CLAD). In 2006 I was awarded the Inland Valley Teacher Award for
Excellence in Literacy. My husband, daughter and I reside in
Lake
Elsinore
.
