Dear Parents,

I would like to take the opportunity to personally welcome all families, new and returning, to the 2010-11 school year. I look forward to a great year at Cottonwood Canyon Elementary School. Despite the current and ongoing budget crisis in the State of California, it is truly amazing to watch your children grow and succeed.

We believe that working together as equal partners is vital to our students’ success both academically and socially. Research shows that modeling behaviors is one of the most effective ways to teach, therefore, I want to personally challenge every parent to get involved on our campus, and model the importance of education.

This school-year will bring many new and continued challenges, but with strong parent involvement, Cottonwood Canyon Elementary is very excited about the possibilities and opportunities your children have before them, and I am confident that with your help we can provide another successful and rewarding school-community experience.
